Celebrating nature :World Earth Day at Kirepwe Island

Today, we marked World Earth Day with a vibrant celebration on Kirepwe Island, joined by the enthusiastic women and the young members of the environmental club from Kirepwe Primary School. This event highlighted the strength and dedication of our community in embracing conservation efforts.

The Kenya Community Support Centre (KECOSCE) was present to reaffirm their commitment to collaborating with local communities. Together, we are not just focusing on conservation but also on creating sustainable alternatives for income. During the event, the women of Kirepwe engaged in lively brainstorming sessions, identifying viable activities that promise to create a lasting positive impact.

This World Earth Day, we were reminded of the power of collaborative partnerships. By uniting our efforts, we are paving the way for community-led conservation where both people and nature can thrive. As we look to the future, we are energized by the collective spirit and commitment shown today, promising a greener, more sustainable tomorrow for Kirepwe Island.
